Chimaera Cats
BoingBoing has a report out of China of a winged cat. Apparently this isn’t an isolated incident and there are numerous reports and theories of the development of cat wings. I can personally attest to the wing-like potential of kitty dreads.
But I say the heck with your flightless wings! After several days of watching my Nicki reach into her bowl, pick up her food and put it in her mouth I’m waiting for the growth of opposable thumbs.

If Kitty ever learns to turn a doorknob, we are doomed. She can already open doors on her own if they’re not shut tightly.

There is only one true door in my house. Many is the time I’ve stepped out of the shower to see the furry black paw of determination curling under the bottom of the door and rattling it menacingly.
